Hope for Madagascar is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Boulder, Colorado. Co-founded by Madagascar natives Fanjarivo Rakotonirina and Georges Fils Andriamanjato Raelisaona, our mission is to empower communities across their home country through three core initiatives:

-
Expanding Educational Access: We build and renovate schools and provide scholarships to ensure that the most vulnerable children have access to quality education.
-
Promoting Village Self-Sufficiency: We cultivate community independence through sustainable permagarden development and the implementation of safe, clean water projects.
-
Conserving Biodiversity: We raise global awareness of Madagascar’s unique ecosystem through the Life Experience Exchange Program (LEEP).

Volunteers from Hope for Madagascar revitalized a deteriorating primary healthcare facility in the rural village of Mahavelona, located in the Ankazobe District of Madagascar. Originally constructed in the 1930s, the historic facility was given a much-needed restoration to better serve the local community.
