Hope for Madagascar Logo Description

The presence of the baobab tree on the Madagascar horizon speaks of a message so powerful that a sense of hope graces anyone who wishes to listen. The baobab’s behavior of conservation, regeneration, and endurance is the tree’s wisdom as it thrives on the Malagasy desert lands. The baobab displays a keen sense of dialogue, creativity, and ingenuity as it has endured for thousands of years and continues to stand firm. As the baobab lives on, it’s presence speaks to our communities, entrusting us to be like the inspiring baobab tree. The Hope for Madagascar Logo displays two baobab trees, representing both the elders and youth of a our communities, as well as, the importance of understanding the interconnectiveness of our environment. As the elder embraces the youth, a foundation of hope blossoms and supports our aspirations to create a better world. Hope for Madagascar has taken the initiative to embrace both the children and their families as well as their local rainforests with the goal of establishing conscious living through preservation, conservation and sustainable development for the Malagasy communities.

“Knowledge and wisdom are like the trunk of a Baobab tree. No one person’s arm span is great enough to encompass them.”

-Saying from the Volta region of Ghana
